Virginia man arrested following road rage incident

DARTMOUTH, MASS (WLNE) - A Virginia man is facing several charges following a road rage incident on Saturday.
Dartmouth Police received a call from a female alleging a male operating a dark-colored pickup truck with a Virginia registration pointed a gun at her while they were stopped at traffic lights on State Road near Shaw's.
The information was relayed to responding units who conducted a felony stop due to the possible involvement of a firearm, after locating the vehicle on Faunce Corner Road near Lowe's.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as 56-year-old Hampton, Virginia resident, Michael Couture.
An investigation followed and officers found a loaded 9mm Ruger handgun inside the truck and located an open bottle of alcohol as well as several other empty cans and bottles of alcohol.
According to Police, Couture admitted that he had been involved in a road rage incident.
Police placed couture under arrest and charged him with:
Assault with a dangerous weapon
Carrying a loaded firearm without a license
Carrying a firearm while intoxicated
Improper storage of a firearm
Negligent operation of a motor vehicle
operating under the influence of liquor (2nd offense),
possession of an open container of alcohol inside of a vehicle
Police say no one was injured as a result of the incident.
