Police seeking to identify cars involved in hit-and-run incidents
FALL RIVER, Mass (WLNE) - Fall River police are asking for the public's help in identifying the vehicles involved in two serious motor vehicle versus pedestrian hit-and-run incidents.
The two incidents happened on Aug. 26 and Aug. 30.
Police say on Monday, Aug. 26 around 9:30 p.m., a 24-year-old Fall River man was crossing Brayton Avenue near a McDonald's when he was hit by a car.
Witnesses reported to police that they saw a black sedan strike the man and proceeded to stop but later left the scene.
On Friday Aug. 30 around 8 p.m., in the 400 block of South Main Street, a 55-year-old man was crossing the street when he was struck by the van pictured, according to police.
It's undetermined what type of van it is through pictures but police believe it's possibly a green Dodge Caravan or a Chrysler Town & Country.
The van fled the scene and headed north on South Main.
Police say both men that were hit suffered serious head trauma and were left in the roadway.
