JOHNSTON - A home on Roger Williams Drive is in unlivable condition after a fire broke out on Saturday night.

According to the Fire Department, the fire happened around 11:30 p.m at 51 Roger Williams drive.

Fire officials say residents were not in the home when the fire started and according to members of the resident's family, they are currently on a cruise.

No Firefighters were reported injured while they were battling the fire and a mutual aid service was called to assist the Johnston Fire Department.

A neighbor told ABC6 that 5 cats who lived in the home had not been seen since the fire.

2 cats were recently found dead inside and the other 3 are still missing.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown at this time.

This is a developing story and more details will be added as they become available.
