PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) - About 30 people are displaced from a triple-decker home after a fire broke out on Sorrento and Althea Street early Wednesday morning around 1 a.m.

"It's tragic because we have nowhere to go," Kastihuca Rollins, a tenant in the home, said. This is our home. Our house just burned."

Rollins, a mother of a one-year-old boy, now has to start all over with her family.

"We have to start from scratch and find a new home," Rollins said.

Firefighters say that the fire quickly jumped from a 1st alarm fire to a 4th alarm fire, as they worked to extinguish it.

All occupants of the building made it out safely. 4 children went to the hospital and were released.

The American Red Cross is assisting families but Rollins said there are some things that are not replaceable.

"A whole of pictures and memories in there," Rollins said. "I had my son living here and I had my baby shower."

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

At this time the house has been deemed inhabitable and is most likely a total loss.
