DARTMOUTH, MASS (WLNE) - Dartmouth Police were on the scene of a reported school bus accident after a deer went into the windshield on Tuesday morning. 

According to the department, the accident happened around 7:12 a.m in the area of 494 Chase road. 

The bus was headed to both Dartmouth middle and high school when the accident happened. 

Police say 4 students and the driver were transported to St. Luke's Hospital for minor injuries. 

The deer did not survive the collision.
