PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) UPDATE - Pawtucket Police have made an arrest after a hit and run on Saturday night, according to police. 

Pawtucket Police responded to the intersection of George and Grace street for a report of a hit and run involving a pedestrian. 

Once police arrived, they located a female victim who was lying in the roadway and was unresponsive. 

Police say the victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. 

After further investigation, detectives obtained a confession from the fleeing vehicle operator, now identified as 35-year-old Pawtucket resident, Noelia Ortiz Negron. 

Negron was charged with the following: 
One count of Duty to Stop-Acc. Resulting-personal Injury/Death
One count of Driving after Denial, Suspension, or Revocation of License. 

Police say Negron also received a citation of Operating Without Evidence of Insurance and Operating with a suspended registration. 

Negron was arraigned by a bail commissioner and is set to appear in District Court on November 4.
