PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Providence Police are investigating a shooting after a man was shot in the arm on Progress Avenue Thursday.

Police say the shooting happened just before 4 p.m.. After getting shot in the arm police say the victim drove to a nearby Shell Gas Station on Union Avenue where the store clerk called police. 

The man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. 

Police say they are looking for any leads that would help in finding the suspect.
