FOSTER, R.I. (WLNE) - A serious crash on Route 6 sent two people to the hospital early Friday morning.

A car hit a tractor trailer head-on around 12:30 a.m. right near the Scituate line.

The woman driving the car was taken to the hospital with what are described as serious, life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in the truck had non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
