PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) - Rhode Island State Police announced the arrest of two people on narcotics charges on Friday. 

According to state police, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force (VFTF), with help from the High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force (HIDTA),  arrested 23-year-old Adam Gallucci and 22-year-old Heather Marcotte, both from North Providence on Wednesday. 

State police say that 47 grams of suspected cocaine; approximately 9 pounds of suspected marijuana; and $8,184 dollars were seized from the Adams Street residence. 

Gallucci is charged with: 

  • Possession of Cocaine 1 ounce to 1 kilo
  • Possession of Cocaine with intent to deliver
  • Possession of 1 to 5 kilos of Marijuana
  • Possession of Marijuana with intent
  • Controlled Substance Conspiracy
  • Cranston Police Affidavit/Arrest Warrant for Domestic malicious Damage and Domestic Disorderly Conduct

Marcotte is charged with: 

  • Possession of Cocaine 1 ounce to 1 kilo
  • Possession of Cocaine with intent to deliver
  • Possession of 1 to 5 kilos of Marijuana
  • Possession of Marijuana with intent
  • Controlled Substance Conspiracy
  • Cranston Police Affidavit/Arrest Warrant for Domestic malicious Damage and Domestic Disorderly Conduct
  • Obstruction
  • Resisting arrest

Both Galluci and Marcotte appeared in Third Division District Court on Friday for a formal arraignment.
