PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) - Employees at Rhode Island Hospital got into the holiday spirit during Lifespan's Annual Toy Drive challenge on Thursday.

It's a friendly competition where each department tries to collect the most toys.

More than 15 departments, each with their own theme, got dressed up and paraded their toy-filled displays around the hospital's cafeteria.

"It brings teams together during a time that is festive," Monica Anderson said. "But they enjoy coming together as teams, building their theme, and coming down to show with pride what they've done over the course of their collection."

All of the toys collected will get loaded onto Santa's sleigh and delivered to kids at a community event on Saturday.
