CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) - Cranston Police are investigating after a New Year's Eve vandal left a front window to an afterschool club completely shattered.

Ocean State Kidz Club on Park Avenue posted on Facebook Wednesday that their window was smashed by a vandal who threw a rock at it just before the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve.

The center provides a year-round program for students in grades 6th through 8th.

"A tall, male, grey pants, black hoodie, black sneakers, holding a black shopping bag was caught on camera walking on Park Ave, jogged right up to our building and smashed the front window with a rock. Jogs away and then continues to walk past Praise Tabernacle like nothing happened," owners wrote on the club's Facebook page.

They filed a police report with Cranston Police, and officers said Thursday that they are investigating.

The damage is estimated at $750.

This isn't the first time the club has been the target of vandals. Back in April, the anchor that sat on the property was stolen. Their surveillance showed a group of people getting out of a white GMC pickup truck to steal the anchor.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Cranston Police.
