RAYNHAM, Mass (WLNE): Two suspects were arrested for an armed robbery on New Year's Day, according to the Raynham Police Department. 

Raynham Police responded to a reported home invasion on Tearall Road around 2 p.m. on January 1st. 

The resident said a male and female came into his home, assaulted and robbed him at gunpoint of cash and a cell phone. 

The victim reported that the male suspect pistol-whipped him. He had facial lacerations but declined medical treatment. 

Derek Martin, 32, and Jessica Toomey, 31, from Fall River were both arrested  and charged with: 

  • Armed Home Invasion
  • Witness Intimidation
  • Threatening to Commit a Crime

According to police, the investigation determined that the incident was not random and that the suspects had previously been to the victim’s home.

The suspects are being held by the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office and Regional Lock-Up in New Bedford. They will be arraigned Monday in Taunton District Court.
