CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) - Police arrested a Cranston man Saturday afternoon for firing a BB gun at a neighbor multiple times.

Ismael Rodriguez, 24, told police he was target shooting at the time they received a call from an unnamed woman for shots fired at her property.

The woman called police at 2:18 p.m., Saturday stating was shot at in her yard in Cranston.

After she heard popping noises, she looked around her neighborhood and saw a rifle sticking out of a window in the 8 Fenner St. apartment complex across the road from her house.

The woman was unharmed in the incident but says the bullets came close to grazing her.

She also told police that a bullet struck her glass screen door.

Police found Rodriguez in his apartment with a BB gun rifle and BB gun ammo, according to a statement from Major Todd Patalano.

Rodriguez has been arrested and charged with Felony Assault/Use Device Similar to Firearm and Vandalism and was arraigned and released.
