Students Fess Up to School Bus Vandalism

On May 28, 2010, Burrillville Police responded to the Dattco Bus Company for a report of vandalism to school buses.
When the police arrived they found that all bus tires had air let out of them and fire extinguishers taken from inside the buses. Due to the time delay in tires having to be re-inflated, school was delayed for two hours.
Officer David Beauchemin was assigned, and has been working with the school department and the bus company to identify those responsible. Six students from the Burrillville High School have admitted their involvement. Dattco Bus Company has made arrangements with all the students involved to make restitution for damages; the school department has also handed out suspensions and community service to them. It has been the decision of Dattco Bus Company not to pursue criminal charges against any of the individuals involved.
All six students are eighteen years of age.
