WARWICK, RI (WLNE) – Recent high school graduates flocked to the Community College of Rhode Island Thursday with pen in hand to take advantage of free tuition.

Thursday was the first of two enrollment programs where students were able to meet with college representatives.

In the sessions, representatives help students fill out the necessary forms in order to qualify for the scholarship.

The next session will be held on August 17th in room 1040 at CCRI’s Knights of Columbus in Warwick.

Free tuition is being offered by the Rhode Island Promise scholarship program. The program covers tuition and fees for any Rhode Islander who enrolls into school full time.
