UPDATE: 2nd suspect charged in fatal Fall River stabbing

FALL RIVER, Mass (WLNE) – A second suspect has been charged in connection with the deadly stabbing of Joseph Reading. 

26-year-old Mark Costa Jr. is now facing charges in this crime, in addition to 29-year-old Adam Connors who turned himself in Monday morning and is being held without bail.

Connors was arraigned on assault and battery charges in the Saturday night stabbing death of 39-year-old Joseph Reading.

According to police, at 11:35 pm Saturday night, authorities responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Church and Hall Street. When they arrived they found Reading bleeding and unresponsive. 

Reading had been stabbed multiple times and was transported to St Anne’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A police investigation revealed that Reading was attending a gathering at 160 Hall Street where he was involved in an altercation.
