Substitute Teacher Arrested on Child Porn Charges

Burrillville Police announced Friday the arrest of Justin Menoche, 23, on child pornography and child enticement charges.

Menoche is a part-time substitute teacher in the Burrillville School Department, and a full-time sub in the Coventry School Department.

Police say Menoche was using a false Facebook profile, under the name 'Jay Mosbey' to connect with underage students, including one in the Burrillville school system. Police seized a laptop computer, a cell phone and an external hard drive from Menoche's home in a raid Friday morning.

Menoche was charged with Enticement of a Child, Possession of Child Pornography, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. He was arraigned in Providence District Court, but did not enter a plea.

Burrillville Police Detectives made the arrest, along with the RI State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Team, and a Deputy from the US Marshall's Office.
