Sunny but windy & cold today

Stays wind Wednesday

Clearing conditions continue this morning with more sunshine expected today. It’s a cooler morning and it’s breezy, so that makes it feel even cooler. Highs today will be much cooler than yesterday, highs only around 30° and with wind gusts still over 30MPH today, feel-like temperatures are much lower. Tonight is clear and very cold with lows in the teens.

Wednesday will start with some sun but clouds roll in later in the day. Highs will be warmer, expect temperatures to top out in the low to mid 40s. It will stay windy through the day with gusts up to 40MPH at times from the southwest. Overnight will stay overcast with lows in the low 30s.

A cold front approaches the area Thursday morning. That front will bring some light snow/mixing to start the day. As of right now, an inch or so can be expected Thursday morning so not a huge amount but enough that some roadways may become slick. Later in the day we’ll dry out with highs in the mid to upper 30s. Overnight as we clear out and the wind shifts, temperatures will drop quickly. We wake up in the single digits and low teens Friday morning. Friday looks sunny but really cold with highs only in the low to mid 20s.

Heading into the weekend, we’ll be watching an offshore storm on Saturday. There is potential for snow and wind but right now, the majority of guidance keeps that system out to sea. Stay tuned for any changes.
