Sunny to Stormy to Finish the Week

High pressure will provide one more sun-filled day for Southern New England. today we will see milder temperatures as a southwesterly inflow brings high temperatures into the 60s. Changes are coming tonight with the approach of the remnants of Hurricane Nicole. Clouds will increase overnight tonight and patchy fog develops near dawn. With all the cloud cover acting like a blanket, overnight temperatures will be close to 50. Veterans Day Friday will start with that patchy fog then mostly cloudy skies take over. Rain will develop for the mid to late afternoon and winds will increase. It will also be muggy and much warmer with temperatures topping out un the lower 70s. Rain will be heavy at times and there is a chance of thunderstorms Friday night into Saturday morning. Saturday morning will have periods of very heavy rain with a chance of thunderstorms and winds gusting to 45 miles per hour. The weekend isn’t looking to be a washout as Saturday afternoon we will clear to mostly sunny skies.
