Sunshine Returns Thursday

High pressure is back in charge of our weather! This means sunshine for Thursday and Friday. We will see a big difference in temperatures between those days, Thursday will be warmer than average with highs in the lower 50s while colder air moves in for Friday. This brings us to the weekend, and that forecast is proving to be tricky. A strong area of high pressure will anchor over eastern Canada and usher in an easterly then northeasterly flow. This will bring in very dry air for the weekend, at the same time, a coastal area of low pressure will develop and essentially be guided into our area. While the dry air means a low chance of precipitation, once the flow shifts northeasterly, it may sneak in just enough to yield light rain showers during Sunday and possibly flurries away from the coast. Confidence in the weekend forecast is still low and we will be monitoring it for a more consistent solution. Stay tuned…
