Suspect in broad daylight Memorial Day murder in Fall River held without bail

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The suspect in a broad daylight Memorial Day murder in Fall River was held without bail Tuesday.
The shooting happened at about 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Globe Car Wash on Broadway.
Angelo Leo, who was arraigned in Rhode Island, will be extradited to Massachusetts Tuesday afternoon to face a murder charge. He appeared in front of a Newport judge as a fugitive from justice first because he turned himself in to Tiverton police shortly after the incident.
Leo, who’s 33 years old, is accused of shooting and killing 45-year-old Jessenia Simmons in a car wash bay.
No further information was immediately released.
