Suspect in deadly Woonsocket hit-and-run to appear in court

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A suspect involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Woonsocket two weeks ago is set to appear in court.
The crash happened on April 21 at the intersection of South Main and Providence streets.
Reed Barbour, 22, was arrested and charged with duty to stop in accident resulting in death, duty to stop in accident resulting in serious injury, driving to endanger, resulting in death, and driving to endanger resulting in personal injury.
That night, Barbour and Jacob Hadley, both from Massachusetts, left the scene of the crash on foot before police arrived, said Chief Thomas Oates.
Oates said the driver of the second car, 55-year-old Thomas Seuss, suffered head injuries. His passenger, 39-year-old Brian Blanchette, was thrown from the car.
Blanchette was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he later died.
According to court records, Barbour didn’t enter a plea and was released on bail.
