A suspect who faces charges stemming from the Odin Lloyd murder investigation has agreed to be held without bail.

Carols Ortiz, 27, appeared in Attleboro District Court for a brief time where he was suppose to appear for a dangerousness hearing. Instead he waived the appearance and will remain behind bars until his next court appearance August 14.

According to the District Attorney Ortiz was one of three men in the car on the night of Odin Lloyd's murder, the other two being former Patriots' tight end Aaron Hernandez and Ernest Wallace. Hernandez is accused of first degree murder for allegedly shooting Lloyd to death and dumping his body in a North Attleboro industrial park just blocks from his home.

Ortiz is charged with carrying a firearm without a license in Massachusetts. Outside of court Ortiz's lawyer offered a link explaining the relationship between Ortiz and the Hernandez family. “Mr. Ortiz was an athletic young man and you might want to look at that as far as that goes and being the same age as Mr. Hernandez brother,” said Attorney John Connor.
