Suspects in custody in East Providence robbery case

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Police have arrested both suspects in an armed robbery of an East Providence gas station.

East Providence Police said Thursday that Timothy Jordan, 25, of Riverside, was arrested in connection with the robbery of Riverside Gas on Pawtucket Avenue Tuesday night.

Police said the suspects had fled the scene by the time officers arrived.

Officers investigating the scene were able to locate a blue pair of men’s boxer briefs, used to mask one of the suspect’s faces during the robbery, close to the scene.

Jordan is being charged with 1st Degree Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

According to Police, the second suspect turned himself in on Thursday.

The second suspect, a juvenile, was not identified by Police.
