Suspended cop charged for threats faces judge

By News Staff

A suspended Providence cop who was arrested for a second time in one week faced a judge Friday on the new charges.

45-year-old Scott Logan will remain at the ACI after failing to post bail. On Thursday, he was held without bail for violating his bail following the previous arrest.

Logan was taken into custody Wednesday in Johnston, charged with cyber stalking and disorderly conduct. Police say he sent threatening texts to his doctor for refusing to refill a prescription.

Logan is currently suspended without pay from the department for an illegal gun charge from back in July. Last week he was charged with threatening three of his superior officers, sending them text messages that said the officers were on his "hit list," and threatening their families.

Earlier this year, Logan was also caught sleeping in his cruiser. Police never revealed if he was disciplined.
