Sweltering heat, strong storm threat on tap for Thursday
Severe weather could cap off a steamy day - and it won't be the last time this week
Steamy, then stormy – a phrase I might admittedly overuse this week. We have a chance to see it tomorrow and then again on Saturday.
Highs will approach 90 tomorrow, which will feel more like 95+ when you factor the humidity in. Stay cool and stay hydrated these next few days.
Storms could feature gusty winds, hail and even an isolated tornado tomorrow evening as a front passes through. Keep your eyes to the sky after 3pm.
Unfortunately, the frontal passage will not cool things off one bit, and we are right back to the stifling heat on Friday. Skies will be sunny, with no shower risk.
On Saturday, the humidity will peak – meaning heat indices around 100 are likely. By the afternoon, a strong cold front will approach and bring another threat for severe weather.
Behind that front, however, lies a much cooler and comfier airmass. Highs Sunday will barely reach 80, with low, fall-like dew points. It will feel spectacular!
Have a great night!
