Taiwan Day Festival features dumpling eating contest, Gov. McKee
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The 22nd annual Rhode Island Chinese Dragon Boat Races and Taiwan Day Festival returned to Pawtucket Saturday.
The event drew crowds to watch fiberglass Taiwanese-style dragon boats race down the Pawtucket River to catch flags.
The boats themselves were gifted from Taiwan.
Gov. Dan McKee also cheered on racers during the boat race.
The event also featured Taiwanese arts and crafts tables, cultural performances, food trucks, and the Chinese Dumpling Eating Contest.
