Taunton Fire Kills 1
An early morning structure fire in Taunton killed one person Monday.
Taunton Fire Department crews responded to 1205 Burt street at 4:09AM after one tenant arrived home to find the house filled with smoke and her roommate unconscious on the floor.
She called 911 and both were transported to Morton Hospital where the roommate was pronounced dead at 5:10AM.
Taunton Police detectives and Taunton arson investigators are still investigating the cause of the fire.
