Taunton police investigating after man shot in the arm

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) – Taunton Police are investigating after a man was shot in the arm on Bay St. Tuesday night.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 6 p.m., when they responded to Bay St. for reports of a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to a local hospital, and the wound is believed to not be life-threatening.

Police have not yet found a suspect, though they are looking for a gray SUV or crossover SUV driven by a white man with shaggy hair. Police say the man was alone and fired the one shot at the victim, who was walking down the street.

The vehicle was last seen heading north on Bay St.
