TAUNTON, M.A. (WLNE) — The Taunton Police Department is seeking assistance locating a woman that has been missing for two weeks.

Authorities are seeking the location of 28-year-old Debra Parkinson, who was diagnosed with Alcohol Fetal Syndrome, and is mentally challenged.

Her mother told Taunton Police that Debra went to visit a friend on Chandler Ave, but has not heard from her daughter in two weeks.

“The information obtained gives us reason to believe she may still be in the area. After one week of visiting her friend she sold her cellphone and stated she was going to seek housing assistance. She has not been heard from or seen since,” said Taunton Police.

Debra is described as 5’7” tall, with short brown hair, brown eyes, and believed to weigh around 215 lbs.

In addition, Debra has a tattoo of a butterfly on her right shoulder, speaks English, is friendly but naïve, and may be associating with homeless population in the City of Taunton.

Her family is concerned for her well being, having not had access to her daily medication.

If anyone sees or knows the whereabouts of Debra Parkinson please call the Taunton Police Detective Division at (508) 824-1471 or dispatch at (508) 823-5000.
