Taunton Police seek bank robbery suspect

TAUNTON, M.A. (WLNE) — Taunton Police are seeking assistance identifying a suspect wanted for bank robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man with a missing bottom tooth, possibly in his late 20’s or early 30’s, who stands around 5’10’’ with a slim build.

Police say the unidentified man allegedly robbed the Mechanics Cooperative Bank on County Street on Tuesday.  

On Tuesday, September 05, 2017 the Taunton Police Department responded to a Hold Up alarm at Mechanics Cooperative Bank located at 75 County Street in Taunton.

When officers arrived, the suspect had exited the bank and ran down County Street heading south.    

“At the time of the bank robbery he was wearing a white under armor sleeveless shirt with a gray back.  He had gray basketball style shorts and an under armor white baseball cap.,” said Taunton Police.  

He was also wearing sunglasses, has brown hair, and appeared to be cleaned shaved.
