UPDATE: Taxpayer Money at Stake in Car Wash Battle
UPDATE: Providence city leaders are now going to try to rescind the winning bid when it comes to washing the police department's cars.
The City Board of Contract and Supply will meet Monday, July 18th, to vote on repealing the bid.
You can call it a car wash war, as a battle has erupted between two car washes in Providence, both over which one gets to clean the city's police fleet.
The matter may end up going to court, with thousands in taxpayer dollars at stake. There is also the possibility someone in the city government broke the law.
