TD Garden to return to ‘near full capacity’ starting Saturday
BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE)- Fans will be able to fill the seats at TD Garden to “near full capacity” starting this weekend, the arena announced on Monday.
“The Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics have confirmed with their respective leagues that TD Garden is permitted to align with City and State guidelines and return to near full capacity beginning May 29, 2021,” the Garden said on its website.
Fans will still be required to wear a mask while at games per NHL and NBA guidelines.
The first time fans will get to pack back into the seats will be when the Celtics host Game 4 of their first round series against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night.
The Bruins are set to return to the home ice later in the week for Game 3 of their second round series, when they’ll face either the New York Islanders or the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Garden has been allowed 25% capacity since May 10.
