BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — For the second time this summer, Boston city officials cleaned up the Holocaust Memorial after a teenager vandalized the site.

The vandalism happened around 7 p.m. Monday.

Police say a 17-year-old threw a rock into one of the glass panels. Two bystanders were able to tackle the suspect until police arrived.

Officials say they are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

The site was rededicated back in July after a June attack forced the city to repair the memorial.

The teen suspect in this latest incident is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
