Teen Stabbed at New Bedford Block Party

A 16-year-old in New Bedford is in the hospital stabbed outside the Gomes School during a block party for crime prevention last night.

New Bedford police say 28-year-old Monzes Goncalves stabbed the teen in retaliation for a fight that happened earlier in the night.

The victim is expected to be ok.

Organizers of the rally are disappointed that the incident overshadowed their message of peace.
