Teens arrested for stealing from Warwick Police cruisers

Two teens in Warwick were arrested after stealing from a cruiser at the police department.

18-year-old Shawn Bartis and another 17-year-old were taken into custody after two officers spotted them lurking in the parking lot.

Police found stolen hub caps from a marked cruiser on the teens and say the pair also tried to steal a siren and spotlight from another cruiser.

The teens are charged with larceny and tampering with an automobile.
