The man whose 1992 murder conviction was overturned last month will soon be out of prison.

Supreme Court agreed today to release 62-year-old Raymond Tempest on bail while it considers the state’s appeal of a Superior Court judgment annulling the conviction.

Tempest will be released on home confinement under terms set at a hearing on August 4th, 2015.

The court is scheduled to consider the case in March.

Tempest was convicted of second degree murder in the death of Doreen Picard in Woonsocket back in 1982.
