Texas Ebola patient passes away

A man battling Ebola at a Texas hospital has died.

Thomas Eric Duncan who was being treated at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital passed away on Wednesday.

Duncan, a Liberian native, came to Dallas last month to be reunited with his son who he has not seen in 16-years.

Duncan has been treated in a hospital isolation unit since he was diagnosed with Ebola at the end of September.

Duncan is the first patient to be diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S. He was one of five patients being treated for symptoms.

He is the first person in the U.S. to die from Ebola.
