WARWICK, R.I. — Whether you are on the roadways or headed to the airport, make sure to give yourself some extra time Wednesday to get where you are going.

AAA is predicting a record number of travelers this Thanksgiving season.

Holiday travel can certainly be stressful, but if you happen to be flying through T.F. Green Airport at some point this weekend, they are going to do their best to make traveling as easy as possible.

Starting Wednesday, the airport will offer live Jazz performances, rocking chairs in select gates, and even a free library. The Providence puppies will also be on hand to greet travelers in the terminal.

T.F. Green officials recommend allowing extra time for security during this high travel week.

If you are hitting the roadways for your Thanksgiving vacation, be prepared for some congestion.

Last year, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said the busiest travel times on the Mass Pike the day before Thanksgiving were between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

“I’m looking forward to a great time down in Atlanta for the holidays. Thanksgiving’s always a great time for the family to get together and we look forward to it every year,” said Gary Jenkins.

“I’m a last-minute packer. I don’t want to deal with anything until the last minute. It’s funny because she’s over here laughing at me, so true.”

If you have waited until now to pack for your trip, you may be out of luck. However, plan in advance if you intend on heading to T.F. Green Airport. It will alleviate any potential headaches.
