T.F. Green Airport to hold emergency exercise
By: News Staff
Warwick, R.I. — T.F. Green Airport will be simulating a disaster Thursday night as part of an emergency preparedness program.
Airport officials will be joined by the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) and the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) to execute the emergency exercise.
Officials say the exercise is designed to test the airport’s emergency plan. The program allows T.F. Green to evaluate how it communicates and coordinates with mutual aid responders.
Departure areas of the airport will be closed off at 9 p.m. until midnight.
No flights will be affected.
