T.F. Green to celebrate airport’s 90th anniversary Monday

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- TF Green International Airport will be celebrating its 90th anniversary on Monday.

The airport will provide arriving passengers with refreshments and giveaways after they land.

TF Green was originally founded as Hillsgrove State Airport on September 27, 1931, becoming the first state-owned and operated in the United States.

The airport was later renamed after Theodore Francis Green, Rhode Island’s governor from 1933-1937.
