“The Beaver” stops by GMP as Comic Con returns to town this weekend

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – It is one of the most iconic television sitcoms of all time, and this weekend at Rhode Island Comic Con you can meet two of the stars of “Leave it to Beaver.” The show debuted in 1957 and had a solid 6 year run on network television. Jerry Mathers played young Theodore “The Beaver” Cleaver and will be in person Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Dunkin Donuts Center and Convention Center.

“I haven’t gone through the whole place (Rhode Island Comic Con), but it’s very, very interesting. (I’m) looking forward to meeting a lot of fans,” Mathers told ABC 6.

Mathers will be joined this weekend at Comic Con by Tony Dow, who played his older brother Wally on the show, and that won’t be the only stars you’ll be able to meet. Cast members from hit shows like, “Cobra Kai” and “Strangers Things,” as well as a whole list of other celebrities will all be in town for the weekend.
