The best season is baseball season
Don't let the rain deter you from catching a game this weekend
Providence, R.I. (WLNE)– Opening day is here! It will be 39 degrees at Fenway for first pitch.
Breezy conditions will remain in play for the day after the cold front moved through the area. We struggle to make it to 42 degrees today and the wind chill factor makes it feel as if it’s only in the 30’s today. Dress in layers especially if you plan on being outside for an extended period of time.
Friday starts off nice with increasing clouds, warming up to 50 degrees, but early evening we have showers moving through the area.
We get a break in the overnight hours, and by Saturday morning the rain picks back up and continues through the early afternoon. We do warm up and top out at 60 degrees later in the day with a south wind in place 5-10mph.
Rain totals will likely be in the ballpark of .50 (half an inch) to 1 inch.
Sunday another blast of cold air pushes through keeping us just below average.
