The ingredients of a great Big Brother Big Sister mentorship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Being part of a Big Brother Big Sister relationship means you’ll not only have a mentor to share laughs with and learn from, but you will have the opportunity to cultivate a friendship while growing a bond that allows you forget the big stressors in your life.  

In only a few hours a month, men and women across Rhode Island are changing children’s lives.  

The team at Big Brothers Big Sisters Rhode Island is to have a mentor relationship last a year and a half. A majority of matches end up staying together for an average of three years, while many stay friends long after the mentee turns 18.
