The line was long Sunday at Allie’s Donuts despite ending police discount
NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) – Many showed up and stood in line at Allie’s Donuts Sunday despite the businesses announcement of not honoring their police and military discount anymore on Saturday.
The recent decision, made in response to a Providence firefighter allegedly claiming to be racially profiled by Providence Police officers, did not stop people from heading out and getting their donuts.
People stood in line in support of the business and their decision. Some even came to stand in line holding Black Lives Matter signs.
ABC 6 News reached out to Allie’s for comment, but were never contacted back.
