A Christmas Grinch in Rowley stole from an entire church as they were celebrating Sunday service over the weekend.

The thief stole $800 in gift cards and a few wrapped presents as they sat on a table just 25 feet away.

The youth group at the First Congregational Church of Rowley did the gift collecting. The gift cards were for Market Basket and Walmart.

They were ready to start the gift giving Tuesday so that families in the area who can’t afford gifts can have some.

Police are working with the church and stores like Market Basket to track down the cards.

The youth group is trying to replace the lost donations.

If you would like to donate, they can be sent to First Congregational Church, 175 Main Street, Rowley, MA 01969
