Thousands of fans take the field to celebrate the Patriot’s trip to the Super Bowl

FOXBORO, M.A. (WLNE) – A sea of red and blue filled Gillette Stadium Sunday as fans came to bid their final farewell to the Patriots before hitting the road for Super Bowl LIII.
“What’s better than this? This is what I live for” says one fan. Another fan adding “this is awesome, this is awesome, it’s incredible. This is the place to be today”
Over twenty-thousand fans braved the cold to hit the turf, all of who are very confident in their team ahead of the big game.
“It will be a good game, it might be close, but we will be the winners,” says one woman.
Some fans on Sunday, even hoping to get a glimpse of their favorite players. “He wants to see Julian Edelman, my son here all dressed up. So I guess if he could get an autograph with Julian Edelman that would be great” one fan tells ABC6 News.
But for most the fan favorite was unanimous, Tom Brady. So, when TB-12 finally took the stage, he had this to say; Let’s let them hear it all the way down in Atlanta, we’re still here.
