Three arrested after leading Police on Route 44 chase
BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) – Three suspects were arrested in connection with a break-in at a Burrillville liquor store Thursday.
A Burrillville Police officer observed a vehicle traveling with its high beams on just after 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning on Pascoag Main Street.
After looking up the vehicle, the officer noticed that its license plate was not registered to the vehicle.
The officer turned into the parking lot of Chums Spirits Ltd located at 95 Chapel St. Harrisville in order to turn around and stop the suspect vehicle. While in the parking lot, he observed that the store’s front window was shattered.
Three suspects were arrested after the suspect vehicle was spotted by Glocester Police, who engaged the suspects in a chase along Route 44, ending in Smithfield.
The vehicle was reported stolen to Providence Police on Wednesday.
The suspects, identified as Alan C. Corey, 47, of Pawtucket, Nichole M. McLaughlin, 31, of Providence and Bryan R. Wieczorek, 42, of Providence were arrested and charged with the following:
- Breaking and Entering with Intent to Commit a Felony
- Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Conspiracy
McLaughlin is also being charged with Driving on a Suspended License, 4th Offense.
