Three indicted in pawn shop shooting

Three men have been indicted in connection to a pawn shop shooting in Providence that prompted a man hunt back in October.

Police say Leroy Dorsey, 20, Andrew McLean, 23, and Reginald Isom, 21, robbed the Capital Gold Pawn Shop on Smith Street and shot the owner, Justin Kempe, during the robbery. The defendants fled the scene with items from the shop, including the victim’s firearm.

Each are charged with one count of first degree robbery, one count of conspiracy, one count of discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence.

In addition, Isom was indicted on two additional counts of possession of a firearm having been previously convicted of a crime of violence and Dorsey was indicted on one count of breaking and entering.

McLean and Dorsey will be arraigned on December 1st. An arrest warrant has been issued for Isom.
