Three juveniles facing arson charges in Richmond tower fire
RICHMOND, R.I. (WLNE) — Three juveniles are facing arson charges after a tower fire in Richmond Wednesday.
State Fire Marshal Tim McLaughlin said the three youth are facing first degree arson charges.
McLaughlin said the three were in possession of illegal fireworks.
The matter has been referred to Family Court.
The fire broke out Wednesday at a tower in Richmond off of Shannock Hill Road around 4:30 p.m.
The fire chief said the tower housed communications for several town services, including for the police department.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
